In the busyness of life with family, kids, home, work, and even social presence where do you find yourself entangled? In just our social media world we spent countless minutes thinking of our next post or taking the perfect picture to show the perfect family to an online group of people we don’t see and rarely talk with. Who likes what I have to say? Who agrees with me? Who is with me?
As you seek to know which direction to take it is easy to look for those who are with you and you want to recognize those against you. But the real issue isn’t your side or my side. The real issue isn’t our side or their side. The real issue:
What is God’s side? What is God’s plan? Jeremiah 29:11 says God has the plan. Lean in to God’s plan. Time spent with God is the way to know his plan. Read his word. Pray.
And in Joshua 5:13-15 Joshua was near the town of Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with sword in hand. Joshua went up to him and demanded, “Are you friend or foe?” “Neither one,” he replied. “I am the commander of the Lord’s army.
At this, Joshua fell with his face to the ground in reverence. “I am at your command,” Joshua said. “ do you want your servant to do?” The commander of the Lord’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did as he was told.
Following this event, Joshua began to receive instruction to conquer the city of Jericho. A specific set of instructions. Instructions that would not make sense to the world. What if Moses had tweeted what was happened. Would people have believed him?
God has open doors for you He has also lined up people to open doors but if you don’t let others help you then you can not reach your greatest potential. God knows how to connect you. He is all about relationships.
God will bring eagles across your path. You will not get stuck
