So let the one who created you lead you today.

Share{N}Hope | God is Working

distant2As I drove east from a West Texas City, fog surrounded me.  For two years I lived in a place with very little fog and yet on this day I was engulfed in a heavy fog for an hour and a half.  Finally the sun began to shine.

The heavens became clearer and the fog hung on the ground.  Suddenly I realized what I was seeing…

Huge wind turbines above the fog…spinning rapidly

And looking closer..a field of cotton ready to be harvested.

God is always working whether we can see Him or not.  I didn’t see the turbines yet they were working.  Let your faith be activated.  Let the breath of God…the wind from heaven fall upon your life today.  You may not have seen what God was doing but He is always at work.

Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.” John 5:17

Anything that God is doing is about eternity and so much larger than our eyes can see.  I love the picture that the Lord allowed me to see. Many of these turbines have blades 116 feet long and sit on a 212 foot tower for a total height of 328 feet.  They are huge.  They stand taller than the length of a football field!!!

I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.  John 4:35

Share{N}Hope | Buzz and Freedom

God, what are you up to today? What can I do today that is part of your plan?  As I said these words I touched the toy Buzz Lightyear next to me and he said, “Let’s save the universe.”

God does speak in amazing ways.  And simple ways.  He used a toy to remind me of his plan.

{God our Savior} who wants everyone to be saved and to understand truth… {Christ Jesus} gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone.  1 Timothy 2:4 and 6

Share {n} Hope |Lead You Home

greater-is-heYou never know what will lead you home – Jim Lovell in Apollo 13.

Astronaut Jim Lovell, in his book, Apollo 13, tells a harrowing tale of being lost in the dark. It was 1950 as Lovell was flying a night exercise in an F2H Banshee off the aircraft carrier USS Shangri-La. It was Lovell’s first night combat training mission at a time when night flying off a carrier was in its infancy. The night was freezing cold off the coast of Japan and storm clouds erased any light from the moon or stars.

In that first night training exercise Lovell missed a rendezvous point with two other planes. His plane’s instruments had mistakenly picked up a signal from Japan that led him away from his carrier group. As Lovell tried to use his map light, his cockpit suddenly went black as all the electronics in his cockpit short circuited. Every bulb on his controls and cockpit were suddenly dark.

Lovell found himself hopelessly lost and flying in circles over the choppy Sea of Japan. He could see nothing but darkness all around him. Even the light of the moon and stars were gone. It was becoming difficult for Lovell to even know up from down any longer, to tell the dark sky from the dark sea. He was engulfed by a dark night
Then in time his eyes began to adjust to the darkness. He looked down and there in the water he saw light. He describes it as “a faint greenish glow forming a shimmery trail in black water”. As a navy pilot Lovell knew immediately what he was seeing! It was a trail of phosphorescent algae churned up by the propellers of his carrier. Suddenly in the pitch darkness he could see the way home! He followed the “strange radiance” all the way back to the carrier and landed safely. (I found this except from on blog by Water from Rock Ministries)

Spiritually I had the same picture.  Trust God to lead you home.  Even in darkness and fog, God will shine a light to lead you home…step by step.  God has led by cloud and by fire.  He has made a pathway by sending a hornet.

Keep trusting him.  He has not forsaken you even if you feel the way is very dark.  God made that promise for the ancient Hebrews and the promise is for you TODAY.  Today God is making a pathway through your wilderness.

 I will lead the blind by ways they have not known along unfamiliar paths I will guide them;
I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth.
These are the things I will do;
    I will not forsake them.  Isaiah 42:16

Swimmers Take Your Mark

These words are very familiar to anyone who swims competitively.  At the command “swimmers take your mark”, swimmers immediately respond and assume and hold a starting position.  All are still.

And then the start sound!

A brand new start.  A brand new race.  It doesn’t matter what happened in a previous race.  It doesn’t matter what will happen at the next race.  This race.  Right now.

You have previous habits, relationships and failures that can create an undercurrent and drag you back to a pattern in life that haunts you.  The enemy knows how to put an entrapment on you, the believer, and cause you to drift back to your  past situation.
Decree today.  I am standing in all authority of Christ.  Because of Christ all Satan’s power is defeated by the cross.  My intimacy with God causes me to know the authority of Christ.  Pray in the spirit.  Satan will be stopped.  God’s power and protection will cause even the enemy of your soul to bow his knee.

I make my starting point, my mark, a bended knee.  From that place of strength I expect that God will fight for me.  He will separate the enemy, confuse the enemy and send civil war into their camp so that they will destroy each other.  God is no respecter of persons.  You have this authority if you are a believer.  Spend time today with the Lord and ask him to lead you

TODAY  I speak restitution and healing into your life.  I pray that you are covered in the blood of Jesus and deny the enemy the right to retaliate.  Take your mark.  You are ready.
